Why Gentiva Health Services (GTIV) Stock Rose Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Gentiva Health Services (GTVI) closed trading up 2.4% to $16.21 on Monday after reports that Kindred Healthcare  (KND) upped its cash offer to $16 per share for a 14.9% stake in the home health and hospice service provider from its previous offer of $14.50 per share, or $573 million, for the whole company.
