NextEra Energy Partners (NEP) Stock Surges in First Trading Day After IPO

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- NextEra Energy Partners  (NEP) surged on Friday after the carve out of NextEra Energy priced its IPO.

NextEra Energy Partners, which operates wind and solar energy projects, priced 16.25 million shares at $25 a share, the high end of the $23 to $25 range. 

The stock opened at $32.55 and rose to a high of $33.20 as of 11:04 a.m.
