Build.com Named 2014 Channel Innovation Award Winner By Retail TouchPoints

ChannelAdvisor Corporation (NYSE:ECOM), a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced that Build.com was named a Gold winner of the 2014 Channel Innovation Award, presented by Retail TouchPoints. The Channel Innovation Awards honor retailers that are achieving cross-channel success in today’s challenging retail environment. The 2014 award winners were selected for demonstrating achievements in sales gains, meeting consumer demands with convenient cross-channel shopping opportunities, cross-channel marketing, customer recognition and technology innovations.

Build.com provides consumers with a unique shopping experience by assisting them with home improvement projects and offering a network of specialized websites that focus on a specific category of home improvement. Build.com offers more than 700,000 brand-name products in categories including plumbing, lighting, heating and cooling, door hardware and more.

“We’re honored to be chosen as a Gold winner of the Retail TouchPoints Channel Innovation Award,” said Josh Bultz, Build.com vice president of marketplaces. “Our goal is to reach as many customers as possible. With ChannelAdvisor’s support, we’ve been able to make our products visible across multiple channels and to new audiences. We’ve quickly scaled our business to become one of the largest home improvement retailers without a brick-and-mortar store.”

A customer since 2007, Build.com uses ChannelAdvisor’s leading e-commerce solutions for digital marketing and marketplaces. Since employing ChannelAdvisor, Build.com has launched on Amazon, eBay, Newegg, Rakuten.com Shopping and Sears. Additionally, the company has strengthened its presence on comparison shopping engines such as Nextag and Shopzilla.

“In today’s competitive landscape, it can be a challenge for online retailers to increase product exposure, especially across multiple channels that are becoming more crowded,” said David Spitz, ChannelAdvisor president and chief operating officer. “Build.com has conquered this challenge and is very deserving of the Retail TouchPoints Channel Innovation award. We’re honored to provide the company with digital marketing and marketplaces support, and we’re excited to continue to help the Build.com team succeed online.”
