Jim Cramer's Stop Trading: Anadarko Petroleum 'Is a Great Situation to Own'

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Anadarko Petroleum (APC) is the "gift that keeps giving," TheStreet's Jim Cramer, co-manager of the Action Alerts PLUS portfolio, said on CNBC's "Cramer's Stop Trading" segment.

The company has been under a "huge cloud" of litigation issues and "that's over" now, Cramer added.

Anadarko is "a great situation to own," Cramer said. The company can continue to perform well despite WTI crude oil falling below $100 per barrel, he continued.

The company has acreage in many of the important shales and plenty of valuable assets, meaning it could benefit from consolidation as a takeover target, Cramer concluded.
