Why NRG Yield (NYLD) Stock Is Rising Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of NRG Yield (NYLD) are jumping 6.6% to $52.14 after Morgan Stanley (MS) reiterated its "overweight" rating on the stock, and raised the price target to $60.00 from $52.00.

This comes on the heels of yesterday's announced deal to acquire North America's largest wind farm, the Alta Wind facility, from Terra-Gen Power.

NRG Yield expects the $870 million deal to close in the third quarter of 2014.
