According to Gartner Inc.’s March 27, 2013, report, “Competitive Landscape: Touch Controllers Evolve into a System Solution, Worldwide, 2013,” by Adib Carl Ghubril, this market is on track to grow in 2014. The report said, “Gartner forecasts 30 percent growth in 2013 for the touch controller market, a rate that will be maintained through 2014 but will slow again in 2015 and will reach a plateau in 2016.” As touchscreens become more present in the automotive, industrial and medical markets, the growth opportunity for haptic feedback applications also expands.
