Zendesk (ZEN) Stock Surges on First Trading Day

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Zendesk  (ZEN) soared more than 40% on Thursday, its first day of trading after the software development company's IPO.

Zendesk priced 11.111 million shares at $9 a share. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse acted as joint book running managers for the offering.

The stock opened at $11.40 and hit a high of $13.37 as of 11:26 a.m. More than 2 million shares had changed hands as of that time.
