RALEIGH, N.C., May 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Triangle Capital Corporation (NYSE:TCAP) ("Triangle" or the "Company"), a leading provider of capital to lower middle market companies, today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2014.

  • Total Net Assets (Equity): $438.6 million
  • Net Asset Value Per Share (Book Value): $15.72
  • Weighted Average Yield on Debt Investments: 13.9%
  • Efficiency Ratio (G&A Expenses/Total Investment Income): 21.0%

    • Cost of investments made during the period: $77.5 million
    • Principal repayments during the period: $49.5 million
    • Proceeds related to the sale of equity investments during the period:  $2.3 million

    • Net investment income: $13.8 million
