Why Disney (DIS) Stock Is Advancing Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Disney (DIS) stock is edging higher Wednesday after the world's largest entertainment company reported record quarterly profits in its recent quarter.

Before the bell, shares had gained 0.72% to $81.72.

Net income of $1.11 a share marked the highest quarterly earnings per share in the company's history and exceeded estimates by 15 cents, according to analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters.
