Sears Appliance & Hardware Returns To Fairlawn

FAIRLAWN, Ohio, May 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq:SHOS) and its franchisee, CPS Operations, LLC recently opened the newest Ohio Sears Appliance & Hardware Store at 4020 Medina Road, Suite 140 in Fairlawn. The new store is the relocation of the former Fairlawn Sears Appliance & Hardware Store that closed within the last year.

Unlike most retail concepts, Sears Appliance & Hardware Stores combine the value, selection and services associated with larger retail stores but are owned and operated by independent franchisees. The Fairlawn location is one of 17 Sears Appliance & Hardware Stores owned by CPS Operations, LLC. The CPS also owns nine Sears Home Appliance Showrooms.

"Our new Sears Appliance & Hardware Store in Fairlawn offers our previous customers in the Fairlawn/Copley community a wide variety of competitively priced merchandise with expert product knowledge right at their fingertips," said David Maggio, president of CPS Operations, LLC. "We focus on providing convenience and accessibility to the products our customers need and want. We committed to our customer base in Fairlawn that we would be back in the community and this new store fulfills our commitment. The people of Fairlawn have been good to us and we have enjoyed serving them over the years. Our goal is to continue to be a valued community partner by striving to offer the highest-level of customer service and building relationships with local residents, businesses, organizations and community groups."

The new location provides customers with access to a full suite of top brand name home appliance merchandise and hardware at the lowest prices, by the Company's price-match policy.

This unique store format allows customers to have access to the great products and brands usually found only in Sears stores. For instance, the new Fairlawn Sears Appliance & Hardware Store is the only place in the area where customers can find an incredible selection of the top appliance brands such as Kenmore®, Maytag®, KitchenAid®, Whirlpool®, Bosch®, Frigidaire® and GE®, plus a large assortment of lawn and garden equipment, Craftsman® tools and more.
