Why Madison Square Garden (MSG) Stock Is Down On Friday

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of The Madison Square Garden Co.  (MSG) are down -3.82% to $52.98 after the company released its fiscal report for the 2014 third quarter.

Net income decreased -50% to $19.1 million, or 24 cents per diluted share, compared to $38.4 million, or 49 cents per diluted share from the year ago quarter.

Operating income for the 2014 third quarter decreased -57% to $27.4 million from $63.8 million for the 2013 third quarter.

Madison Square Garden reported an 11% increase in revenue to $459 million for its most recent quarter, from $412.4 million for the same period last year.
