Shares are up 19.3% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday. Currently there are 4 analysts that rate Golar LNG a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and 1 rates it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates Golar LNG as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures and solid stock price performance. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had somewhat weak growth in earnings per share.

On the positive front, American Railcar Industries ( ARII), up 5.8%, China Metro-Rural Holdings ( CNR), up 5.4%, Knightsbridge Tankers ( VLCCF), up 5.0% and Danaos ( DAC), up 4.9% , were all gainers within the transportation industry with CH Robinson Worldwide ( CHRW) being today's featured transportation industry leader.
