PITTSBURGH, April 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DynaVox Systems, LLC, the leading provider of speech-generating solutions and symbol-adapted special education software that assists individuals with overcoming their speech, language and learning challenges, announces it has updated its Boardmaker® Studio software allowing existing Boardmaker Studio users to install their software on an additional computer. Traditionally, Boardmaker Studio only allowed one install. Now users will be able to install the software on two computers, allowing them to work in multiple locations at their convenience. "We know how dedicated our customers are to providing individualized therapy and learning activities to their students and clients. That's why so many of them have told us they need access to Boardmaker Studio both at their office and at home in the evening," said Bob Geenen, Director of Product Management. "With the ability to install in two locations, our customers will be better able to meet the needs of their students and clients." Starting today, current and new Boardmaker Studio users will automatically be given access to a second install, with the ability to use the software on one computer at a time. Customers will simply use the same install code for a second computer. The flexibility of multi-PC access is something Boardmaker customers have enjoyed in previous editions of the software. Boardmaker Studio customers will continue to have direct access to over 25,000 shared activities currently available on the Boardmaker Achieve Community. Released in 2010, Boardmaker Studio is the culmination of feedback from hundreds of dedicated educators, speech-language pathologists, related professionals and parents. The software is the fastest and most flexible tool for creating adapted, accessible instructional and therapy materials for both print and onscreen access. Boardmaker Studio includes DynaVox's industry standard Picture Communication Symbols (PCS™), hundreds of time-saving templates, pre-programmed onscreen gadgets, and powerful features like "edit-in-place" that make Boardmaker Studio an invaluable tool for supporting students and adults with special needs. A deep library of training and support materials are available for Boardmaker Studio on the Mayer-Johnson website.
