Why DigitalGlobal (DGI) Stock Is Down Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- DigitalGlobal Inc. (DGI) stock is down by 4.21% to $27.50 on Tuesday following a report that Google (GOOG) is in early talks to purchase Skybox Imagining, a satellite imagery startup.

Currently, both Google Maps and Google Earth rely heavily on high resolution imagery from DigitalGlobe.

Skybox is claiming that its imagery solution is superior to any other because it uses proprietary telescopes and advanced cameras and imaging sensors.
