Frontier Communications (NASDAQ:FTR) today announced a partnership between its Frontier Secure business unit and Dropcam Inc., makers of the leading Wi-Fi video monitoring camera and cloud service. Frontier customers can now access all Dropcam products, including the award-winning Dropcam Pro, a $199 wireless video monitoring system with two-way audio and night-vision capabilities. The image sensor in the Dropcam Pro camera is twice as big as previous models, allowing the camera to capture much more light and deliver a better picture with enhanced zoom capability. The camera includes Bluetooth LE, making it the ideal hub for the Connected Home. The Dropcam Pro can be installed by the customer, assisted by live support from Frontier’s 100 percent U.S.-based Premium Tech Support team.

Kelly Morgan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Frontier Secure, notes, “Frontier Secure’s mission is to give customers Peace of Mind. Its revolutionary technology makes Dropcam our natural ally. Frontier Secure customers can use Dropcam’s Wi-Fi video monitoring cameras and optional Cloud Recording to remotely drop in on their houses, babies, pets, businesses, or anything or any place important to them from a smartphone, tablet, or computer.” Morgan added, “Frontier Secure is dedicated to protecting every aspect of a customer’s digital life. Dropcam is a valuable addition to a portfolio that includes Internet-enabled devices that enhance the broadband experience, cloud-based backup & sharing, proactive identity protection, 100% U.S.-based Premium Technical Support and digital device security.”
