McDonald's (MCD) Offers Free Coffee Every Morning For Two Weeks

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- McDonald's (MCD) announced Friday that it will offer free coffee during breakfast hours from March 31 to April 13.

Shares of McDonald's were gaining 0.5% to $96.62.

For the two weeks participating McDonald's locations will offer a free small McCafe coffee while the fast food restaurant offers breakfast items. The campaign is likely in response to Taco Bell's (YUM) recent breakfast push. Taco Bell offers coffee as aprt of its breakfast menu, but the company is working on bringing premium coffee to more locations.

"We rate MCDONALD'S CORP (MCD) a BUY. This is based on the convergence of positive investment measures, which should help this stock outperform the majority of stocks that we rate. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, good cash flow from operations, growth in earnings per share, increase in net income and expanding profit margins.
