Guidewire Recognized For Second Consecutive Year As Only Vendor To Receive Strong Positive Rating In Gartner’s Policy Management Modules MarketScope Report

Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE: GWRE), a provider of flexible software products to Property/Casualty (P/C) insurers, today announced that the company was recognized in Gartner’s recently published, “ MarketScope for North American Property and Casualty Insurance Policy Management Modules,” report. I The report evaluated the 10 solutions that met Gartner’s criteria for inclusion. Guidewire PolicyCenter® earned a “Strong Positive” rating which is the report’s highest category. PolicyCenter is the sole solution to be named to the “Strong Positive” category for the second consecutive year. The report can be viewed here.

According to the report, “Policy management modules, along with the billing and claims modules that form core solution suites, are increasingly seen by insurers as prerequisites for achieving next-generation capabilities,” said Jeff Haner, principal research analyst, Insurance, Gartner and author of the report. “Without the modern, flexible foundation these solutions provide, insurers will not be able to adopt the emerging technologies, new products and new business models that will be essential for long-term viability.”

“The Guidewire team is honored to receive a strong positive rating by Gartner,” said Brian Desmond, vice president, Marketing, Guidewire Software. “We are very pleased with the adoption of PolicyCenter globally which this rating in part reflects. We also recognize the need to continually improve to ensure we maintain our track record of helping our customers transform their business.”
