Industry Veteran Scott D. Smith Joins ModusLink As Chief Commercial Officer

ModusLink Global Solutions™ Inc. (NASDAQ:MLNK) today announced that Scott D. Smith has joined its operating company, ModusLink Corporation (the “Company” or “ModusLink”) as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Smith will lead ModusLink’s global sales, marketing and client management organizations with a focus on growing revenue and enhancing the Company’s market position as a trusted provider of highly integrated supply chain and logistics services to the world’s best brands.

Smith comes to ModusLink from Celestica, where he was Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Solutions and Marketing. In that role, he was responsible for managing all aspects of sales and marketing on a global scale. Additional prior posts include three years with Lenovo Corporation as President of the Americas and a 22 year tenure at IBM in a series of global sales and operations roles with increasing responsibility in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University in New York.
