|Who:||One of the nation’s leading economic thinkers, Dr. Ben S. Bernanke is the author of several books and numerous articles on topics including monetary policy and macroeconomics. Prior to his tenure at the Federal Reserve, Dr. Bernanke served as chairman of the Federal Open Market Committee. He was also previously chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. Prior to public life, Dr. Bernanke had an extensive career in academia, notably as a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton University. He also served seven years as chairman of the Princeton Economic Department.|
