AllDigital Names Mark Walsh As An Independent Director To Its Board Of Directors

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 13, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AllDigital Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:ADGL), recently recognized as one of Streaming Media Magazine's "Streaming Media 100," which honors the most innovative and influential companies in the online video industry, has announced the addition of a new, independent board member, Mark Walsh, to the Board of Directors.

"We continue to move forward in our efforts to build a world-class management team and board of directors," said Paul Summers, chairman and CEO of AllDigital. "Mark brings extensive global experience including in brand marketing, operations and scalable sales organizations. We anticipate that Mark will work closely with our new Executive Vice President of Sales, Michael Linos, to guide us in building a globally recognized digital media brand focused on ultra low latency solutions."

Mr. Walsh held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Chief Customer Officer for Hostess Brands, LLC from March 2009 to December 2013. Prior to Hostess Brands, Walsh worked in numerous international divisions of PepsiCo for approximately 20-years in senior executive positions gaining significant experience in global brand building, operations, and sales management. Walsh has a BS from the Oregon State University in industrial engineering.

"AllDigital has a number of technologies that could have revolutionary applications in the consumer products marketplace," said Walsh. "By getting ahead of consumer purchasing decisions, the applications for ultra low latency forms of data delivery could be game changing for forward looking consumer product and service brands."

Paul Summers, CEO of AllDigital added, "Many retail locations, such as large grocery chains, already generally know who you are, what products you like and can provide alternative product ideas via mailers or coupons at checkout. Unfortunately, by the time the consumer has selected their favorite brand and is in the process of paying, the follow-up coupon or mailer has virtually non-existent odds of changing the immediate consumer's purchasing decision." Summers added, "In a future shopping experience, it's possible that a consumer brand could not only display a near real time video advertisement of their competitive benefits to a mobile device or connected television, but could also make expert recommendations (such as dietary considerations) based on real time feedback from "wearables" (e.g., Google Glass) and other intelligent, connected devices such as mobile phones. Mark has decades of experience and channel relationships that are capable of making this vision a reality. We look forward to his leadership as we focus on developing game changing consumer brand experiences for both national brands and their target markets."
