Why Conversant (CNVR) is Popping on Wednesday

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Conversant  (CNVR) is soaring on Wednesday after posting fourth-quarter and full-year earnings which exceeded expectations.

By early afternoon, shares had added 19.9% to $26.06.

The company, formerly known as ValueClick, reported per-share earnings of 67 cents on sales of $176.4 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters anticipated earnings of 57 cents a share and revenue of $168.68 million.

For the current quarter ending March, the company anticipates revenue between $138 million and $144 million with per-share earnings of 38 cents to 39 cents. Consensus is for net income of 40 cents a share on $141.25 million in sales.
