Google and Amazon report after the market closes on Thursday and both will need to convince a market that is increasingly turning towards fundamentals. Investors will focus on Google's advertising numbers since it makes up 85% of the company's revenue. Amazon will have to get past critics that complain about profitability and do not want to be distracted by future project "wow" factor. Both stocks have performed well over the past year and have only recently began to trade down.
