DENVER, Jan. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marley Coffee (OTCQB:JAMN) ( www.marleycoffee.com ), the sustainably grown, ethically farmed and artisan-roasted gourmet coffee company, announces that its RealCup™ single-serve cups are now available in Canada at select locations in five new grocery/retail chains. The distribution of RealCups to these chains has been facilitated by the existing licensing agreement between Marley Coffee and the retail division of Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee, an Ontario-based food service solutions company. Marley Coffee's RealCups are now available at all 245 stores of the Ontario region division of Sobeys Inc.; at 120 stores in the Ontario region division of Metro Inc.; in all 280 stores of IGA, which is the Quebec region of Sobeys; 50 stores of COOP; and chainwide in Bed Bath & Beyond in Canada and 30 select locations in the U.S. Rohan Marley, Founder and Chairman of Marley Coffee, said, "Canada is a very important market for us and we have been extremely excited by what the retail sales team at Mother Parkers has been able to do for our brand in Canada. Canadians really know their coffee, and success in this market means a lot for the international markets. We look forward to fruitful relationships with these retailers and are confident we will attract many new fans to our movement." Brent Toevs, CEO of Marley Coffee, said, "Our RealCups are already available in Canada's London Drugs and Best Buy/ Future Shops chains and so we've had some success with our brand nationwide. However, adding these five major chains is a big win for the company as these stores have huge market penetration throughout Canada. The objective for the rest of 2014 is to increase our presence across all of these chains and to add new RealCup SKUs. We believe later in 2014 we could have an opportunity to start distributing our bagged coffee into these places as well."
