It grows and harvests trees for use as lumber, other wood and building products, and pulp and paper. Weyerhaeuser has a market cap of $18.1 billion and is part of the industrial goods sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 27.2, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are down 1.6% year to date as of the close of trading on Friday. Currently there are 7 analysts that rate Weyerhaeuser a buy, 2 analysts rate it a sell, and 3 rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, impressive record of earnings per share growth, compelling growth in net income, good cash flow from operations and notable return on equity. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows low profit margins.

On the positive front, Blackstone Mortgage ( BXMT), up 8.7%, Trade Street Residential ( TSRE), up 4.5%, China HGS Real Estate ( HGSH), up 4.5% and Vestin Realty Mortgage I ( VRTA), up 3.5% , were all gainers within the real estate industry with Annaly Capital Management ( NLY) being today's featured real estate industry leader.
