CES (Booth #9839)— DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio enhancement technologies, announced today that the company is expanding its Headphone:X™ program with the introduction of the Headphone:X Headphone Tuning Program. The program offers leading headphone manufacturers access to tools and support, designed to optimize the DTS Headphone:X experience across product lines. The program also helps headphone brands maintain their signature sound across all DTS Headphone:X- equipped mobile devices. Leading headphone manufacturers, including Skullcandy, Inc., Panasonic Corporation, and Republic of Frends, have officially joined the Headphone:X Headphone Tuning Program. DTS will be showcasing a variety of program partners’ headphones tuned for DTS Headphone:X at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show. “At Skullcandy, we obsess everyday about innovation and the quality of the listening experience with our products. We have done everything a brand can do to the headphone itself to enhance this experience. This collaboration with DTS allows us to take the key product element of high-end and immersive audio even further by integrating with a great technology partner,” said Sam Pachel, Chief Commercial Officer of Skullcandy. “The sense of realism and immersion offered by Headphone:X is truly incredible. We are excited to be working with an audio innovation leader like DTS to ensure that our headphones will continue to provide consumers with enhanced listening experiences for their audio entertainment." “Despite the amount of engineering a company puts into a headphone’s design, the experience those headphones deliver is never constant between playback devices,” said Jake Hirose, vice president of merchandising, Panasonic Corporation. “Through the tools offered to us via the DTS Headphone:X Headphone Tuning Program, we are not only able to ensure that the sound they produce is true to how we designed them to sound, but that the sound produced by our headphones is maintained consistently across all DTS Headphone:X-equipped devices.”
Investors considering a purchase of DTS Inc shares, but tentative about paying the going market price of $30.03/share, might benefit from considering selling puts among the alternative strategies at their disposal. One interesting put contract in particular, is the June put at the $25 strike, which has a bid at the time of this writing of $1.05.
