NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Macquarie Securities' Amy Yong says that while TV everywhere is disrupting appointment viewing habits the real concern for pay TV providers is how to monetize digital platforms.

Are cable companies worried about TV Everywhere and how it could potentially disrupt the industry?

Amy Yong:
I think cable companies are worried about how to monetize TV Everywhere and how to monetize digital platforms. At the end of the day their entire competitive positioning is around broadband and broadband usage. So they're embracing TV Everywhere to try to figure out actual monetize it.
