TD Ameritrade, Inc. ("TD Ameritrade"), a broker-dealer subsidiary of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD), announced the launch of an enriched and customizable Web experience for retail investors with their redesigned flagship trading platform available through www.tdameritrade.com. The website’s enhancements deliver personalized and relevant content to TD Ameritrade’s six million client accounts, allowing them to easily manage and customize a variety of real-time functionalities such as third-party article research, portfolio data, orders, streaming financial news, quotes and more all from one screen. “We continually look for ways to improve investing and trading experiences,” said Stuart Rubinstein, managing director of eCommerce, TD Ameritrade. “Providing our clients with access to the latest technology is a top priority. With the enhanced website, we’re now able to better provide our clients with products and services they want.” A majority of TD Ameritrade’s client engagement comes from interactions on the company’s main website with hundreds of thousands of clients logging in daily. As a result, TD Ameritrade relied heavily on user feedback to help shape a majority of the website’s improvements. Design, navigation and tools were executed with the users’ best interests in mind. Most notably, the dock is a new tool that allows users to customize their view by choosing between different trading and investing modules. Through the dock, users can track account balances, monitor watch lists through live data streams, view video streams of the latest financial news and even take research notes. The dock is like an app store or preset menu of widgets that lets clients customize their site experience. Wherever a user moves on the site, the dock follows and is easily accessible. The site’s enhancements, which were designed to be intuitive and easier for investors to use, include four additional key features:
|1.||My Account Overview page: The landing page, or My Account, now has a real-time streaming snapshot for balances and positions, creating a cleaner look while allowing more room for market news and messaging opportunities.|
|2.||Enhanced SnapTicket®: Users can keep an eye on their open orders while navigating throughout the site, whether they’re reading a research report or learning more about managed account solutions. Users can place an order, check an order’s status and read their latest messages all from one location. There’s even a countdown clock to market close that rounds out the convenient tool.|
|3.||Enhanced navigation: The new onsite menu is expandable and organized and allows users to navigate anywhere on the site in one simple click.|
|4.||One-stop search: Smart keyword and symbol lookup allows users to search for anything they need from a single location. For example, articles on investment strategies are just as easily found as the latest hot stock price.|
