HOUSTON, TEXAS, Dec. 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Halcón Resources Corporation (NYSE: HK)("Halcón" or the "Company") today announced that, subject to marketconditions, it intends to offer an additional $400 million inaggregate principal amount of its 9.75% senior unsecured notes due2020 (the "additional senior notes"). The additional seniornotes are being offered as additional notes to the $750 millionaggregate principal amount of 9.75% senior notes due 2020 that theCompany sold in a private placement that settled on July 16,2012. The additional senior notes and the existing notes willbe treated as a single class of debt securities and will haveidentical terms, other than the issue date and issue price, exceptthat the additional senior notes will initially be subject torestrictions on transfer under applicable securities laws. Halcón intends to use the net proceeds from theoffering to repay a portion of the outstanding borrowings under itssenior secured revolving credit facility.
