ACE USA, the U.S. based retail operations of ACE Group, today announced the appointment of Carl Sutter as Senior Vice President, Distribution Management. Mr. Sutter will work collaboratively with ACE USA regional teams across the U.S., with responsibility for developing strategic broker relationships, and driving broker-specific distribution strategies on a national basis for all ACE operating units. Mr. Sutter is based in Philadelphia, and will report to Ed Zaccaria, Division President, ACE USA Regional Operations. “I’m pleased to welcome Carl into this growing practice within ACE USA’s regional operations. He joins a team of senior level executives with similar responsibilities and a track record of successful management of our key broker initiatives. Carl is a proven leader with an extensive background in relationship management. His wide-ranging knowledge of ACE’s global and specialty product capabilities as well as his established reputation with our brokers, positions him well to take on this new responsibility,” said Mr. Zaccaria. “ACE continues to make meaningful investments in both client and broker relationship management. The Distribution Management Initiative complements our Global Client Executive practice in providing dedicated resources where necessary to deliver the best possible service to our brokers and to be better aligned strategically with them. Carl will be an integral part of our expanded plan to provide a key point of contact to facilitate access to our people and products, and work to grow our relationship across ACE,” said John Lupica, Chairman, Insurance-North America. Mr. Sutter brings more than 24 years of diverse experience in the insurance arena, all of them with ACE USA or its predecessor organization. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, National Corporate Risk Segment Leader for ACE USA regional operations, where he was responsible for the development and management of ACE USA’s middle market sales, marketing and distribution initiatives. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sutter held various roles in business development, field operations, account management and claims. Mr. Sutter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
