Regions Bank (NYSE: RF) today announced that Sean VerLee, Private Client Insurance Advisor in Kokomo, Ind., is the November 2013 recipient of the Regions Bank Better Life Award. The Better Life Award is the top honor given to an associate of Regions for outstanding dedication and job performance, as well as exemplary involvement and commitment to the community. During his six years with Regions, VerLee has developed strong and lasting relationships with his peers and his community because of his passion for what he does and for serving people. For him, it’s about helping people and being a part of providing both the insurance solutions that customers need and the complete 360 degree attention necessary to meet all a customer’s needs. “Sean is someone who truly has many talents when it comes to serving customers and working with his peers,” said Curren Coco, head of Regions Insurance. “He was instrumental in the success of the merger that brought Regions Insurance to Kokomo and has been just as valuable as a partner with Regions bankers.” In addition to his efforts with Regions Insurance, VerLee is a noted musician and is a part of the local Bridges Outreach, a mentoring program. He currently is the Board President of the Family Service Association, which under his leadership, is building apartments to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless veterans. The Better Life Award is presented monthly to a Regions associate who lives the company’s mission to make life better for customers, associates and the communities it serves, and who is an example of the company’s values:

Regions associates are nominated by their managers and peers for the award. Regions Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Grayson Hall honors recipients at the company’s headquarters in Birmingham, Ala., at a meeting broadcast live to offices and branches in the 16 states Regions serves. In addition to the recognition, associates earning the Better Life Award will receive an additional week of vacation and a crystal award.
