NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- U.S. stock futures were flat on Friday morning, taking a breather from Thursday's gains that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average close above 16,000 for the first time and the S&P 500 break a three-day losing streak.

Futures for the S&P 500 were unchanged at 1,793.75. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were adding 0.06%, to 15,984. Nasdaq futures were rising 0.05% to 3,402.25.

Friday offers a light economic calendar, with Kansas City Fed President Esther George expected to speak at 8:40 a.m. EST at the Bank of France conference in Paris, and the Kansas City Fed manufacturing index expected to print at 11 a.m.
