NTT Communications Highlights Expertise And Customer Growth In European Market

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the global data and IP services arm of Fortune Global 500 telecom leader NTT (NYSE:NTT), today announced its participation at the Capacity Europe 2013 Conference taking place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, November 18-20, 2013. Capacity Europe is one of the most prominent events for the European and global wholesale telecom community and provides a platform to key global players such as NTT Com to share insight into the trends and opportunities of the evolving wholesale telecom market.

Michael Wheeler, executive vice president of NTT Com’s Global IP Network at NTT America, will join industry leaders on the keynote panel “The Great Debate – Innovation & Carrier Industry Transformation” on Monday, November 18 th, 11:45 a.m. local time, focused on the opportunities and challenges presented by changes in the global wholesale ecosystem as content delivery evolves and market relationships are redefined.

NTT Com’s participation in the Capacity Europe Conference is another indication of its significant growth in the European IP transit market. The company is one of the top wholesale IP providers in the region, ranking #1 in customer growth in Western Europe and #2 in Europe, according to the latest wholesale rankings by Renesys, a leading market research firm. NTT Com also holds the #1 spot in the customer growth index rating globally. The customer growth index is based on IPv4 data and ranks providers that have increased the number of customer networks they provide service to within a given market.

NTT Com’s upward movement in the rankings in Europe was already highlighted in the 2012 Wholesale Rankings, which were published by Capacity Magazine earlier this year based on a wholesale customer base score from Renesys Market Intelligence. The report mentioned that NTT Com had moved into the top 10 IP transit ranking “after experiencing a strong year of growth in Europe” and securing a number of high profile customers.

“We are very proud of NTT Com’s strong growth in Europe,” said Clive Hamilton, vice president of Network Services, EMEA, at NTT Europe. “We’re focused on providing customers with highly-effective global connectivity and superior customer service. It’s encouraging that customers increasingly appreciate the strength of NTT Com’s network in Europe and around the world, and choose our company for their critical Internet-related business needs,” Mr. Hamilton added.
