JINHUA, China, Nov. 5, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kandi Technologies Group, Inc. (the "Company" or "Kandi") (Nasdaq:KNDI), announced today that on October 29 th, 2013, Mr. Wenguang Xu, the Vice Mayor of Hangzhou who is in charge of electric vehicles development, and Mr. Jilai Zhao, the Director of Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, along with other government officials visited Hangzhou Public EV Sharing System's (the "Project") smart vertical parking and charging facility location. The group also visited the headquarter of Zhejiang Kandi Electric Vehicles Co., Ltd. (the "JV Company") to examine the real-time monitoring and dispatching system for the Project. Mr. Xiaoming Hu, the Chairman of Kandi & the General Manager of the JV Company provided to the delegation a detailed introduction and the progress update on the Hangzhou public EV sharing system. He was very impressed about such an advanced technology and the reliable systematic management provided to the Project. In addition, Mr. Xu was updated that there has been so far over 30 locations chosen for building smart vertical parking and charging facilities, of which 18 locations are in the middle of construction. At present, two locations are already completed and in use. Due to the impact from the typhoon in the Hangzhou area earlier last month, the Project has been delayed, but Kandi is still seeking to maximize its effort to deliver the best result possible.
