OSHA Recognizes Cintas Uniform Rental In Fort Wayne, Indiana With Highest Safety Designation

Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today announced that its uniform rental facility in Fort Wayne, Ind. has received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The VPP Star Certification is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health.

The Cintas uniform rental facility in Fort Wayne is the 20th facility companywide to receive Star designation. The facility’s 92 partners, along with representatives from OSHA and state and community officials, will celebrate the honor with a flag raising ceremony held at the facility in Fort Wayne on Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m.

“We are pleased to earn VPP certification – a testament to our partners’ training and in-depth understanding of safety initiatives,” said John Vaught, Cintas General Manager of Fort Wayne. “A world leader in workplace safety, Cintas does a great job equipping its facilities with the training, equipment, and resources needed to prioritize on-the-job safety.”

Cintas’ Fort Wayne facility began the VPP process four years ago. The designation required successful completion of a strict and rigorous audit and collaboration between all levels of management and employee-partners in order to create an environment of continuous safety improvement.

Cintas Corporation has more than 360 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body. This includes operations in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Honduras.
