This Thanksgiving, Manhattan will share a memorable moment of Minion Madness with the world when a brand new “Despicable Me 2” float joins the 87 th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade ®. In celebration of the national holiday and the upcoming release on Blu-ray™ and DVD on Dec. 10 and Digital HD on Nov. 26, 2013 of “Despicable Me 2,” the No. 1 comedy of the year rolls out a deliciously decorated cupcake parlor inspired by the blockbuster film. Featuring Gru, the reformed master criminal turned devoted dad, and the unpredictable Minions, the new Parade float promises to keep things lively and entertaining for millions of fans, both young and old.
The new “Despicable Me 2” float will feature the Minions and Gru and the first public appearance of a new character introduced in “Despicable Me 2.” The confectionary scene on the 20-foot high, 33-foot long classic bake shop-themed float features larger-than-life cupcakes.
