The company is also involved in processing and selling fresh meat, processed products, milk and dairy products, pasta, frozen vegetables, and soybean derivatives. BRF has a market cap of $22.3 billion and is part of the consumer goods sector. Shares are up 21.0% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are 2 analysts that rate BRF a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and 2 rate it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates BRF as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, compelling growth in net income, good cash flow from operations, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures and solid stock price performance. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows low profit margins.

On the negative front, Diamond Foods ( DMND), down 9.7%, S&W Seed Company ( SANW), down 7.3%, Omega Protein Corporation ( OME), down 5.1% and Seneca Foods ( SENEB), down 4.3%.
