Employees, family and friends of Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, volunteered for this year’s Canon Clean Earth Crew on Sept. 21 at West Hills County Park in West Hills, N.Y. Through this project, nearly 100 volunteers worked together restoring trails, refurbishing scout shelters and revamping the landscape around the Visitor Center. “Canon Clean Earth Crew is a Company-wide initiative where Canon employees volunteer their time to protect and improve the natural environment in areas around Canon offices,” said Bunji Yano, senior director and general manager, Corporate Communications Division, Canon U.S.A. “It is important for us to help preserve local places such as West Hills County Park because we want future generations to be able to enjoy the beauty of nature for years to come.” Since the inception of the Canon Clean Earth Crew in 1996, Canon U.S.A. employees have volunteered thousands of hours to help maintain and preserve some of Long Island's most beautiful parks, beaches and nature preserves, including Heckscher Park in Huntington, Jones Beach, and the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center.
