The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, good cash flow from operations and solid stock price performance. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had somewhat weak growth in earnings per share.

On the negative front, Northern Dynasty Minerals ( NAK), down 32.9%, USEC ( USU), down 10.1%, International Tower Hill Mines ( THM), down 8.2% and Silver Standard Resources ( SSRI), down 6.6% , were all laggards within the metals & mining industry with Silver Wheaton Corporation ( SLW) being today's metals & mining industry laggard.
