Becker Announces Agreement With EduPristine To Offer CPA Training In India

Becker Professional Education, a global leader in professional education and a part of DeVry (NYSE: DV), today announced a new agreement with EduPristine, India’s largest financial certifications review provider. Under this agreement, Becker will work with EduPristine to deliver live Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam Review classes to major cities across India including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai.

The global demand for CPAs continues to increase, particularly in countries experiencing economic growth like India. According to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the overall number of CPA Exam sections administered outside of the United States increased by 17 percent year over year between the first two quarters of 2012 and 2013. As a global leader in CPA Exam Review for over 50 years, Becker has prepared over 400,000 candidates for the CPA Exam. Based on pass rates published by the AICPA, Becker students pass the CPA Exam at double the rate of non-Becker candidates. *

“As the roles of accountants expand, CPAs are experiencing higher earnings, better marketability and more career opportunities on a global level. These benefits, along with the overall international demand for CPAs, have triggered a need for more training and exam preparation programs,” said Matt Kinnich, vice president, international and business development at Becker Professional Education. “We know that EduPristine has a solid presence and reputation in India and we are confident that together we will reach a larger audience and provide the best learning solutions available.”

EduPristine is committed to helping individuals launch their careers in accounting and finance through quality training and course offerings. The expert faculty at EduPristine will teach Becker’s integrated CPA Exam Review course that consists of 100 hours of expert instruction, more than 6,500 multiple choice questions, 250 task-based simulations, two full final exams for each of the four exam sections, an interactive study planner and more. This collaborative effort between Becker and EduPristine will help students succeed on the CPA Exam and ultimately open the doors to a variety of international opportunities in fields such as attestation, income tax, financial accounting, analysis and planning, forensic accounting, regulatory reporting, finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
