It’s not unusual for a troop’s burden to be 80 pounds. Large electronic gear also adds weight and clutters transport vehicle dashboards, restricting mobility. But that’s changing. The Defense Department’s reduced Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) strategy demands more efficiency to lighten the overall load resulting in increased maneuverability, survivability and lethality. Special crystal processing creates excellent vibration immunity: down to 0.6 ppb/g. The M616x Series fits well wherever high stability/low noise clock sources are required including: WLAN, WiMax base stations, point-to-point/multi-point radios, portable test instruments, medical equipment, frequency translation/synthesizers, manpack satellite terminals, avionics, GPS, and land mobile radio.
