NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Although 90% of the S&P 500 has reported second-quarter earnings, there are still a few big companies that will report this week. TheStreet's Lindsey Bell, Brittany Umar and Andrew Krill take a look at the week ahead.
Monday is relatively calm, but Urban Outfitters ( URBN) will report earnings after the close. Tuesday morning will be busy, with Home Deport ( HD), Best Buy ( BBY), Barnes & Noble ( BKS), TJX Companies ( TJX), and J.C. Penney ( JCP) all reporting earnings. American Eagle Outfitters ( AEO), Staples ( SPLS) and Target ( TGT) report earnings on Wednesday morning and Hewlett-Packard ( HPQ) is scheduled for after the close. The Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee meeting will also be on Wednesday, and investors will be trying to pick up any hints of tapering ahead of the September FOMC event. Thursday morning will feature GameStop ( GME) and Abercrombie & Fitch ( ANF) reporting quarterly results. Ross Stores ( ROST) and Aeropostale ( ARO) will report after the close. Finally, on Friday morning, Foot Locker ( FL) and ANN Inc. ( ANN) will wrap up the big earnings plays for the week. -- Written by Bret Kenwell in Petoskey, Mich.
