Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract from National Roads Authority (NRA) to conduct health and safety site inspections on the National Road Network in Ireland, and to provide corporate support for occupational health and safety initiatives within the NRA. Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that this award follows a previous commission through which Jacobs developed an inspection system for the NRA that is currently being utilized. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is inspecting project sites throughout the National Roads Network to facilitate consistency in the implementation of health and safety systems and procedures, including a special focus on temporary traffic management measures from the perspective of the road-user; and to report and advise on findings. Jacobs Group Vice President Bob Duff stated, "Jacobs is delighted to support the National Roads Authority on this project, which builds on the previous health and safety program we successfully delivered. We are pleased to continue our long working relationship with the NRA in the development and maintenance of the National Road Network in Ireland." Jacobs is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services.
