Digital Insurance Acquires TurnKey Benefits

Digital Insurance ( www.digitalinsurance.com), the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, has acquired TurnKey Benefits Inc., an employee benefits firm headquartered in Fort Mill, S.C. TurnKey now operates as part of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), a division of Digital Insurance, and will open the company’s first office in Charlotte, N.C. Co-principals, Shelley Stromple and Mark McLean, along with their team, joined forces with DBA to provide clients expanded offerings and greater support.

“Bringing Shelley and Mark into the DBA fold strengthens our presence across the Carolina’s and the Southeast,” says Mike Sullivan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Digital Insurance. “TurnKey Benefits is highly regarded for its strategic approach to managing health care-related expenditures by compiling and interpreting data to develop cost-saving solutions for their clients. Digital’s emerging private exchange solution will also strengthen their competitive position in the marketplace,” adds Sullivan.

DBA combines the commitment of experienced, local market advisors with the sophisticated technology and innovative resources of a respected national company. Employers receive access to a broader variety of carriers, dynamic tools, proprietary products and the ability to effectively navigate the complexities of health care reform.

“Being part of the Digital Benefit Advisors’ network and having access to its team of experts, wealth of resources and state-of-the art technology platform amplifies our ability to effectively support employers and policy holders,” says Stromple, who founded TurnKey Benefits in 1998. “Digital’s employee benefits-only focus mirrors our firm’s concentration and was a key factor in our decision-making process to join Digital.”

“Digital is a recognized industry leader with the scale and experience that enables us to structure optimal employee benefits plans for our customers and meet their expanding needs,” adds McLean. “The company’s impressive reputation, proven expertise and progressive approach is very attractive to us and will provide our clients a significant competitive advantage.”
