By the end of trading, LyondellBasell Industries fell $0.89 (-1.3%) to $68.58 on average volume. Throughout the day, 4,195,869 shares of LyondellBasell Industries exchanged hands as compared to its average daily volume of 4,117,600 shares. The stock ranged in price between $68.37-$69.52 after having opened the day at $69.37 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $69.47. LyondellBasell Industries has a market cap of $39.7 billion and is part of the basic materials sector. Shares are up 21.7% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are 11 analysts that rate LyondellBasell Industries a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and 3 rate it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates LyondellBasell Industries as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its solid stock price performance, impressive record of earnings per share growth, compelling growth in net income, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures and notable return on equity. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows low profit margins.

On the positive front, Verenium Corporation ( VRNM), up 37.1%, Senomyx ( SNMX), up 6.2%, American Vanguard Corporation ( AVD), up 3.4% and Ikonics Corporation ( IKNX), up 2.9%.
