CAC-Florida Medical Centers (CAC) announced today that the Miami-based health care company plans to open two new medical centers in Tampa Bay early this fall, bringing its unique full-service, multi-specialty, coordinated care approach to people in the bay area. CAC-Florida Medical Centers will hire close to 40 associates to staff the two Tampa centers, one facility at 4340 W. Hillsborough Ave. and a second facility at 8326 N. Florida Ave, occupying nearly 25,000 square feet. Each CAC location will also include a separate Wellness Center where patients can participate in a wide range of social, health and lifestyle classes and activities, including on-site exercise classes through the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, the nation’s leading exercise program for older adults. In 2012, CAC expanded from its South Florida base to Central Florida, opening centers in Kissimmee and in the Pine Hills area of Orlando. The company will also add a third Central Florida center in early fall in the Semoran area of Orlando and will extend its South Florida presence into Broward County. Both new Tampa full-service, multi-specialty medical centers will offer comprehensive outpatient medical care, including primary and specialty care, pharmacy services, pain management treatment and diagnostic testing.
