The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, expanding profit margins, growth in earnings per share, increase in stock price during the past year and increase in net income. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had generally high debt management risk by most measures that we evaluated.

On the negative front, Lone Pine Resources ( LPR), down 41.4%, USEC ( USU), down 32.9%, Intrepid Potash ( IPI), down 28.6% and Lightbridge ( LTBR), down 20.0% , were all laggards within the basic materials sector with Mosaic ( MOS) being today's basic materials sector laggard.

For investors not wanting singular stock exposure, ETFs may be of interest. Investors who are bullish on the basic materials sector could consider Materials Select Sector SPDR ( XLB) while those bearish on the basic materials sector could consider ProShares Short Basic Materials Fd ( SBM).
