DETROIT, July 11, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company delivering a new generation of APM, today announced that the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA - Federal Employment Agency) in Nuremberg has extended the newly-introduced system for end user experience monitoring for the BA's organization-wide SAP system with the cooperation of amasol, Compuware APM and T-Systems. The BA's active monitoring system was optimized using passive real user monitoring, but the Agency wanted to check the availability and performance of its SAP system – which is used to process pay-outs of unemployment and child benefits, as well as other procedures and many human resources processes, using both active and passive monitoring. "Our goal is to use the new end user experience monitoring system to ensure objectively that all users have fast, reliable access to the central ERP system at all times," said Rainer Gundacker, Division Manager at the Bundesagentur für Arbeit. The current production environment checks all SAP user attempts to access eight central SAP server components by means of real user performance measurements. The monitoring is performed for both data center locations via a real user network test, which is provided by matrix switches with the data flow from measurement points across the Internet and Intranet. Compuware's real user monitoring solution has already been adapted during the trial operation, so transaction-based real user monitoring of the SAP environment is possible. The new end user experience monitoring system will be introduced in addition to the SAP Solution Manager, the SAP solution for administration and monitoring of SAP environments. "The end user experience monitoring that we are planning will make it possible to isolate the fault domain quickly. If necessary, SAP Solution Manager delivers additional important information for the SAP operations team in order to guarantee secure SAP operations," explained Gundacker.
