Digital Insurance Introduces New Employee Benefits Solutions To Credit Union Industry

Digital Insurance (, the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, will deliver a comprehensive new suite of ancillary insurance products to the credit union industry.

Earlier this month, CUNA Mutual Group announced it transitioned its employee benefits book of business to Digital Insurance to provide credit unions with a better employee benefits product solution. Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA) (, the largest division of Digital Insurance, will service this business, providing resources, expertise and education to help credit unions prepare for the complexities of health care reform required by the Affordable Care Act.

As part of the expanded relationship with CUNA Mutual Group, Digital has arranged for replacement group life and disability offerings from highly rated insurance carriers, including Unum and The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. These offerings feature preferred products, pricing and benefits for credit union employees.

“Our customers and their employees will experience the advantages of enhanced products and services thanks to Digital’s national platform and deep relationships with best-in-class carriers,” says Robert Trunzo, president, CUNA Mutual Group Insurance & Financial Services. “Our entire industry will benefit from our relationship with a market leader like Digital.”

Digital negotiated with leading carriers to design group life and disability policies specifically to meet the needs of credit unions and their employees. The plans will be available to existing and new customers immediately or during renewal periods to those currently covered by CMFG Life policies. DBA will service the plans through its newly formed Credit Union Services team, comprised of many former CUNA Mutual Group employee benefits professionals.

“Our relationship with CUNA Mutual Group bolsters our ability to serve the unique needs of credit unions,” says Adam Bruckman, president and chief executive officer of Digital Insurance. “We have added considerable expertise to our DBA team in recent months. Moving forward, we will expand our focus to develop even broader solutions.”
