The acquisition will give LifeLabs access to CML's laboratory testing services across Ontario, expanding community lab testing services across the province.

CML shareholders are set to vote on the deal on Sept. 3. It is expected to close by the end of that month.

The boards of CML, LifeLabs and OMERS have all approved the deal.
