ResMed has a market cap of $6.74 billion and is part of the health care sector and health services industry. Shares are up 13.6% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

ResMed Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the development, manufacture, and distribution of medical equipment for treating, diagnosing, and managing sleep-disordered breathing and other respiratory disorders. The company has a P/E ratio of 22.2, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, solid stock price performance, impressive record of earnings per share growth and compelling growth in net income.
